Hello friend and fellow citizen,
Our passion is to see God's love transform our city. The church is called to love one another, serve one another, and care for those who are hurting and oppressed in our culture. The church at large has been known far too long for what it is against instead of what it is for. So what on Earth is the church supposed to be doing? It is to express passion for God by serving and loving people with divine compassion that transcends personal bias or ability to do so. We are to care for those who are widows and orphans because they have lost the stability of family. The Bible teaches us that we as Christians will be judged on the basis of what we did with this awesome grace and love that God has given to us as a gift. More specifically, we are to visit the prisoner and the sick. We are to clothe the poor and feed the hungry. If we have two of something such as a coat or whatever it might be, we are to give one away to those who have none. We are to speak up for those who have no voice, to love justice and mercy above all else. When people meet the authentic lover and healer Jesus, they are never the same again. When their lives are transformed by his mercy and grace part of our city is transformed.
It is the desire of this ministry to work with all churches, putting aside doctrinal differences, to come together under the banner of the cross of Jesus. We are all brother's and sister's with the same Dad, Father God. Jesus prayed that we would all be one, unified as a sign to the unbeliever that we are His children. When we work together so as to not duplicate each others efforts in serving our community, lighting a candle instead of cursing the darkness, real life changing transformation of the city will begin.
20 "My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one- 23 I in them and you in me-so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. John 17:20-23 (NIV)
Please take a few moments to pray and ask God how he would use you to transform our city. If God leads you to get involved and you would like to contact me you may reach me at rvp1day@yahoo.com.
Be the revival and transform your world!
In His love,
