"Joyful in My house of prayer, My throne shall be called a house of prayer all people"
"The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective" James 5:16 TNIV
We believe prayer is a key to every good thing God does. We believe God answers prayer. We believe prayer is NEVER a waste of time. We encourage people to pray every day. We have a beautiful facility set apart as a "House of Prayer" and we encourage people to come to it for focused prayer. We have a Minister of Prayer whose job description is simply to pray and encourage prayer.
As a result we have several very effective prayer programs, and the average worshipper is praying much on his/her own each week. Among the prayer programs are the Emergency Prayer Phone Chain and the 24/7 Worship and Prayer.
We also have a once a month Men's Prayer Meeting
on the first Saturday of every month.
The Pastoral Staff meets most Tuesdays at 11 a.m. for prayer. Every time there is an encounter or special event, there is a call to special prayer to which many respond. Friday we have prayer for Israel and revival from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. in room next to the nursery. Call Fran Costa at 943.9602 for location for Fridays prayer.

Overseeing the Prayer Ministry is our
Minister of Prayer, Jean Walker.
Pastor Jean has a passion for prayer and a spiritual gift of intercession. If you would like to be involved in any of our prayer ministries, just "jump in". If you'd like to be a part of one or more of our more organized prayer ministries, such as the 24/7 Worship and Prayer or The Emergency Prayer Phone Chain (what these are and how these work is explained in more detail below), just contact Pastor Jean at 734 5707 for more information and/or to tell her of your interest.
Those who volunteer to be a part of the Emergency Prayer Phone Chain receive phone calls telling what the emergency is, pray for the emergency, and then pass the information on to two others by phone.
Those who are part of the 24/7 Worship and Prayer simply select one or more hours a week during which they will pray at that same day and hour each week. The goal, ultimately, is to have prayer from those affiliated with our church and school 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Email Prayer Chain
We have implemented another opportunity for quick, emergency prayer by use of email. Here, the plan is to simply email emergency prayer requests with the understanding that the recipient will pray as soon as he sees the email. This is in addition to our Emergency Prayer Phone Chain.
Email your requests to ipray@ymail.com.
